Huacaya Alpacas breeding Stock

Yearling Male

let the lion Roar
AOA# 36283187  DOB: 6/11/2024  (2 yrs)
Huacaya | Yearling Male | Unproven | Dark Fawn
Sire: Majestic's Armani
Dam: Zendaya from Zurich

We are quite happy with this guy because he is from one our favorite fawn dams (no favorite's allowed) Zendaya of Zurich. Suffice to say his granddam Zurich is an all-time favorite. Her dark grey coloring and she has had the cutest and best fleeced animals for us. Rory is "our" only offspring sired by Majestic Armani. His first shear was quite impressive. We went ahead to see if his histogram matched up with what we saw. At 17.3 AFD and 4.2 SD we think he has some good potential. We went ahead and showed him as a yearling. Even though he did not place high, he held his own in the judges comments among some of the big breeders. . The judges commented a little more growing up time. From what we have seen, the Majestic's Armani from Jumanji line seem to bloom just a little bit later. He had commendable fleece score of 71/80 with a 19.5 of 20 in fineness & handle and well above average uniformity, 4 of 5 of density and 8.5 brightness. We are pleased with these attributes and decided to show him again following spring. He only got a 5th in halter and the judge said placing was due to his longer face, should I mention I almost cried when shearers sheared his face clean because he really did have that full-face coverage as you can see in our shearing photo of him. However, the 2nd show the judge kept going back and forth between the one she placed first among some of the industry greats so we were super excited about receiving a 2nd. His walking fleece score card shows 4 of 5 density 8.5 brightness and 18 of 20 fineness despite the wind mud etc. These are traits we have been aiming to improve in our huacayas so we are grateful we received this feedback.

Male

Striking pattern
AOA# 36023448  DOB: 8/9/2021  (5 yrs)
Huacaya | Male | Proven | True Black
Sire: Dancing Elk's Romeo
Dam: 4 Season's Freedom

This guys dam had 4 boys in a row, but each one of them have been extraordinarily beautiful. Freedom's formal attire, dubbed "Dino" aka the Dean Martin of the pasture, has a nice bright crimp. His sire has beautiful conformation and really dense fleece - and an all-time favorite disposition. We entered him as a young guy in the California Classic and although he took a 5th place he had nicer score than some of our other hot shots. He received a 16.5 fineness of 20, 7.5 of 10 in uniformity of micron 7 brightness and somewhat surprisingly a 4.5 in color uniformity. This boy is such a looker we actually had several inquires regarding purchasing him at that show. His next show we had people stop and thank us for bringing him again they just loved seeing him so much. Because of his striking appearance we used him for some events. He was quite the gentleman for a wedding reception and later for a birthday party. His head and face coverage adds to his appearance and his fleece is nice. One year since he was a favorite with the youth that helped at shearing we let him call his hairstyle and he sported a mullet. It was said to be business in the front, party in the back. We bred him to a female last year and suspected his markings may be a dominant trait & a close replica of himself was just born. Absolutely one of the cutest crias you have laid eyes on.
