Foundation Suri Alpacas

This girl was born just a bit early and a little small in size to a first time mom. She soon picked up the pace and she could be seen zooming around the pasture. Zaila was so cute and spunky with a seemingly zest for life pronking and showing off for visitors. She just love loved to run. Despite Zaila's dark color something in this girls eyes really stand out. Her dam is a robust freckled, rose grey from one of our top favorites, GLR Armani. Joy has a lot of fleece, I think over a 5 pound blanket last shear. Zaila's sire, Zaliki, had skin biopsy showing good density and above average fineness in secondaries noted in color of black. He received a couple championships, and won above 18 other fleeces at the Suri Network fleece show. Zaliki is a strikingly handsome, robust guy and he was also noted to have high luster 18 of 20 on fleece score. We see that trait being exhibited in her already and couldn't be happier especially considering he has silver grey in his pedigree from Silver-heat not to mention his gorgeous dam is WLK Peruvian Zara. We entered Zaila in the fall show 2022 and the judge awarded her a 1st place and remarked about her nice conformation and luster. She is also a sweet one to handle. 2023 we bred her to Worthy Journey, and she delivered a gorgeous silver grey girl. She eased very well into motherhood and that is growing up looking fabulous. We bred her to Gracie's Slick to the Max before he left for Reno, Nevada - will see if we can confirm a pregnancy.

We just love this girl! We named her after her dam - Worth the wait (aka Worthy) so her name is Worthy of my all (aka Mya). This girl's dam had a silver grey in the past with So Cal's Platinum Marquis and we decided to go for grey again with Sterling, a gorgeous silver grey son by SoCal Greystone's Marquis from a nice fawn dam by Max. While the pairing didn't produce grey, Sterling added such nice density and lock to this girl. She has remarkable face coverage - a truly stunning suri head. Her fleece regrowth is relocking extremely well. She is producing a different lock style than we have had and it is really stunning. Planning to breed this girl very soon.

This girl was born in the wee hours of a cool morning but was up and walking when we spotted her. Super excited to have her as the last one born to us for the season. A beautiful grey, GIRL. Her fleece was fine, silky & shiny and starting to lock nicely. Her color is astounding! We are very excited about this one a blending of good conformation from her dam who is a Silverstone Rocket daughter and also one of our favorite herdsires GLR Armani who tends to give us great dispositions and luster in all shades of grey! We entered her in fall shows and were somewhat surprised by two 1st places. Her competition was actually a half-sister who has a beautiful true-to-type head, and fleece with lovely locks. Both judges commented that it was a close placing but felt Wisteria had somewhat finer and denser fleece. We are grateful. Also appreciate her quirky disposition. We bred her one time to our fine-fleeced "Gracie's slick to the max" and she delivered a bright fleeced boy full of energy and a beautiful head style. He is white with one big brown spot, nicely locked and looking dense.
